It’s been awhile since we shared a Cabo fishing report, but that certainly doesn’t meant the action has been lacking here in our waters. Not one, but two Bisbees fishing tournaments recently wrapped up and boy were they amazing…just check out this beautiful footage from Los Cabos Tourism! And did we mention that the winning Bisbees Black and Blue team, “Quiteña,” did so with a 534 pound black Marlin. Their winnings? $$2,183,000 CASH!!!!!!
Back to our fishing report…
From October 15 – 21, our friends at Pisces Sport Fishing reported and overall catch success rate, all species combined of 83%. When they broke that number down, the catches are as follows: Billfish 50%, Tuna 18%, Dorado 34%, Other 13%. According to Pisces, “large yellowfin tuna remain the main act in the other species department, with many fish being boated over 100lbs.” The Pisces boats were all reeling in some impressive catches, making this a Cabo fishing trip to remember for many. “We saw some boats come in this week with multiple marlins on board, and many different species of billfish. From black, blue and striped marlin, to sailfish and even a spearfish, the only one missing to complete all possible billfish would have been a swordfish.”
