Getting away as a family gets harder as the kids get older. When it’s not school, it’s sports. When it’s not music lessons, it’s an after school job. Make spring break special this year with a family trip to Cabo San Lucas. And, if you’re wondering if they’ll like it, the answer is YES!

Whether you’re caring for pre-teens or new drivers (or both), there are plenty of things to do that everyone will love.

Scuba Diving

Scuba dive in Cabo San Lucas for an experience your family will cherish forever. Easy, guided dives still reap amazing underwater rewards when you take the plunge in the waters Jacques Cousteau discovered and named “The Underwater Aquarium of the World.” Our Los Cabo diving spots give divers the opportunity to come face to face with hundreds of marine life species. Dive with sea lions, sea turtles, colorful fish, stingrays and more.

Parasailing

There isn’t a teen that wouldn’t love to experience Cabo from high above the Sea of Cortez. Our friends at Aries Water Sports run a great parasailing trip that will take off from either the Cabo San Lucas Marina or Medano Beach. Fly up to 600 feet above the ocean for one of the most picturesque, smooth rides you’ll ever experience. Your boat captain will take you along the rugged coastline, out to Land’s End, passed the arch, and all around the bay. Give your kids the thrill of a lifetime.

Breakfast at The Office

The Office can be a great place to party, but it’s also a fun experience for the whole family. It’s an iconic Cabo restaurant that lets diners eat with their toes in the sand — what kid wouldn’t want that. While you can visit for dinner service, we like to mix it up and go for their delicious breakfast. The Office on Medano Beach is just a short taxi ride or walk down the beach from Villa La Estancia.

Lounge Time

It’s Spring Break, everyone deserves a little relaxation and some vitamin D, courtesy of the Villa La Estancia pool. After enjoying breakfast on your private terrace, mosey down to the resort pool and pick out your lounge for the day. The only thing on your to do list today is move from lounge to pool, pool back to lounge. You’ve never been more relaxed. Swim up to the bar or order from the poolside Parrilla Grill. The Villa La Estancia pool also features shade umbrellas and complimentary towels.

Cerritos Surfing

Take the whole family up Baja’s Pacific coast to the surf colony, Cerritos. This fantastic stretch of beach is amazing for families looking to take the plunge into surfing. The current is calm and the waves perfect for beginners. An all sand ocean floor also makes it a lot less treacherous for those of us who might not be staying on the board long. Cerritos Beach and Surf Club offers an amazing surf school for newbies with talented instructors to help you along the way. Once you’ve hung ten, maybe one or even zero, you get to refuel at the beach club restaurant. Sit with your toes in the sand, enjoy some nachos and parents can sip on a Cerritos tequila margarita.
