You’ve been planning this vacation forever: You’ve bought your plane tickets and booked your room at Villa La Estancia. All that’s left is to plan your vacation itinerary while sticking to your vacation budget. While there is a lot to enjoy here in Cabo, it’s easy to stay on track with these budget-friendly activities:
1. Glass Bottom Boat Tour
For little more than the cost of a margarita, you can enjoy a fantastic glass bottom boat tour around the spectacular Land’s End. Local companies, like Aries Water Sports, will pick you up right from Medano or the marina for a relaxing hour-long adventure. Sail along Land’s End and passed the seal colony, Neptune’s Finger, Pelican Rock, Pirate’s Cove, Lover’s Beach and Divorce Beach all the while enjoying a peek under the sea.
2. SUP on Medano
For a pretty inexpensive rental cost, you and your friends can enjoy an unforgettable, self-powered ride around Cabo. Cabo stand up paddle boarding is fun, can be done solo or with friends and it’s even great exercise. You can rent from one of a few vendors on Medano, no reservations needed. Give yourself a break, too. It takes a bit of time to get the hang of, but once you do you’ll fall in love! Cabo SUP is just one of the great vendor options.
3. Coconut with a View
Give yourself a healthy and inexpensive treat with a fresh coconut! Sounds simple, but sometimes simple is the most delicious. We love to stop at the coco truck above Costa Azul. They’ll open the coconut right in front of you, and, when you finish the water, will chop up the meat for you to enjoy. Coconut vendors can be found all around Cabo San Lucas.
4. Lover’s Beach
Lover’s Beach is a DEFINITE MUST during your trip to Cabo San Lucas. It’s iconic as it is beautiful. And, best of all, it’s super affordable! Hop a water taxi from the marina or Medano Beach — you’ll see the taxis as soon as you leave the resort. For just a couple dollars you and your family can be transported to this special isolated beach. Get 2 for 1 on this adventure. Cross Land’s End for another treat: Divorce Beach! Admire the beauty and the Pacific Ocean, but don’t go swimming! Save the swimming for the calm Lover’s Beach.
5. Sandy Happy Hour
Get a drink on the beach and enjoy sunset from Medano Beach. You can sip your margarita with your toes in the sand at places like The Office, Mango Deck, Bar Esquina. We’ve heard some of the best margarita prices come from none other than Tabasco Beach Bar and Restaurant.
