Pisces Fishing Report: June 7 – 13, 2014

The Pisces Fish Report is here once again! According to the Captain, they had an Combined Overall Catch Success Rate of 89% (for all species).

Species Breakdown:
Billfish – 54%
Tuna – 32%
Dorado – 24%

This week the very first Pelagic Summer Slam tournament was held in Cabo San Lucas. The tourney seeks to promote sport fishing & local charter boats at an affordable price. Twenty-eight boats entered with the top boat being “Go Deeper.” The crew collected 10 marlin and earned just over $9,500!

Over the week, Pisces anglers caught a total of 59 billfish this week, with all but one released. Respectable catches seeing as they had full moon and an abrupt water temperature change.

WEATHER CONDITIONS:
It’s already hot, the skies are clear, and the seas had some swells mid-to-end of the week.

LOCATION:
11.50 spot to Golden Gate, San Jaime for tuna.

AVERAGE WATER TEMP:
73 F

BEST LURES:
Live bait for marlin, cedar plugs for tuna, green colored lures and live bait for dorado.
