“Wow what an incredible week; fishing was hot with multiple catches of blue & striped marlin as well as sailfish.  The week culminated in the Stars and Stripes tournament, a fun, well run event, which raised over two million dollars for charity.”

According to our friends at the Cabo fishing charter company, Pisces, June 27 – July 3 included a few great blue marlin catches (from new and experienced anglers). As you could expect, there was a lot of excitement when visitors were able to reel in these prized catches. Pisces also reported that one of their boats, La Brisa, had a fantastic and busy day on the seas. The crew reported “3 striped marlin, a sailfish, 2 pilot sharks, 2 yellowfin tuna and 4 skipjacks.”

According to the weekly Cabo fishing report, Pisces anglers caught a total of 71 billfish. 24 yellow tuna were reeled in, with two of those tuna being quite sizeable — 147 lbs. and 155 lbs.

LOCATION: Destiladeras, 11.50 spot, Punta Gorda, 95 spot, off of Cerro Colorado.
WEATHER: hot, skies mostly clear, seas calm.

BEST LURES: live bait for striped marlin, lures for blue marlin, cedar plugs for tuna.
