Pisces Fishing Report: April 18 – 24

After a comeback two weeks, the Pisces Fishing Report team “saw a marked improvement in the Cabo fishery, as striped marlin finally put in a steady appearance.” Almost all the boats had great days and happy anglers, including “C Rod” which caught and released 5 striped marlin and some wahoos to boot. The “Listo” also released 4 marlin which weighed up to 120 lbs. A few days later, that same group reeled in 4 healthy marlins in the 120-140 lb. ranges.

With marlins biting this week, the captains and anglers were focusing their attention on catching more. For that reason, there weren’t many other species caught. “Inshore some sierra, skipjacks and rooster fish were caught, which accounted for twenty percent of our catches. Just four dorado were caught this week…”
