Pisces Fishing Report: Feb. 21 – 27

The last week of February yielded mixed results not the fishing front. According to the Pisces Sport Fishing team, there was “lots of bait, good color water, temperature a little high at 73 F, but the fish were hard to locate.” Overall, 20% of the boats that set sail February 21 – 27 caught a marlin.

While there weren’t the marlin catches anglers hoped for, there were a number of dorado reeled in. The latest fishing report detailed the catches that ranged from 1 – 5 fishing ranging from 5 – 30 pounds. Adding a little fun to the mix, one visiting angler caught a mako shark. The shark was caught and released. Other than that, there were a few skipjacks, yellowtail and groupers caught.

Mostly clear skies with some wind on the Pacific, seas mostly calm.

Pacific from Old Lighthouse to Golden Gate, one day at Cabeza de Ballena on Cortez side.

Live caballito, green, red & black, petrolero.
